Premium Coil Coating
The DC1500 Series are high quality coatings specifically developed for the Light Fixture Finish market. DC1500 HRW Coatings are formulated with our Proprietary Modified Linear Polyester resin that provides Exceptional Flow and Hiding that results in a high ratio of Reflectivity to Film Thickness.
DC1500 Coatings will provide an 86-87% Reflectivity at only 0.80-0.85 mils DFT on cold rolled steel. Substrates like Aluminum and zero-spangle HDG can achieve over 90% reflectivity at a very economical film thickness.
The special resin modifications in DC1500 HRW Coatings allows a thick film to be applied in single coat without edge blisters or "ropey" flow lines. This is especially helpful for coating stripe patterns. DC1500 Coatings have a Non-Yellowing feature for applications where a high temperature or a second bake is experienced.
DC1500 HRW Coatings are flexible enough to take a tight post forming 0-T bend and still retain an "H" Pencil surface hardness to resist scratches. Our special Stain Resistant resin provides extra Scratch and Metal Marking resistance.
Performance Characteristics
These are typical Reflectance values that can be achieved as a single coat on smooth Cold Rolled Steel. The effectiveness of application and roughness of the substrate may affect results. Split coating can improve flow and reflectivity.
